olla.talk Payment and Refund Policy
Effective June 18, 2026. Provider: OllaAI. Service: olla.talk.
This English text is provided for your convenience. The
Korean version is the binding original; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. Purpose
This Policy explains how billing, withdrawal of subscription, refunds, and overpayments are handled for the Plus subscription, the paid service of olla.talk provided by OllaAI (the "Company"). Anything not covered here follows Korean law, including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Content User Protection Guidelines.
2. What the paid service includes
- The base service is an AI-powered automatic translation messenger. You create a chat room, invite someone by link or QR code, and that person can join as a guest without signing up.
- The service translates messages into each user's preferred language and provides the original text, real-time chat, access from web and mobile, and invitation-link sharing.
- A Plus subscription is a paid pass that adds the Plus features shown on the checkout screen — automatic translation, context-aware translation, AI nuance analysis, deep translation, and priority processing — on top of the base service.
- "Unlimited translations" in the Plus plan applies to ordinary personal or business conversation. If messages of 10,000 characters or more are sent repeatedly, or use is judged automated, abusive, or otherwise abnormal, some features or usage volume may be limited to keep the service stable and fair for everyone.
- The Company may change feature names, detailed specifications, supported languages, or processing methods in response to service improvements, operating conditions, external AI models, or payment-provider circumstances. Material changes are announced in the service or in a notice.
3. Paid service and payment methods
- The paid service is the Plus subscription. The amount charged and the features provided are those shown on the checkout screen. All amounts include VAT.
- A Plus subscription applies to your account as soon as the first payment is approved, and is charged automatically each month to the same payment method until you cancel.
- Automatic payments are charged to the credit or debit card registered through the Toss Payments billing window. If you cancel before the next scheduled payment date, no further automatic payment is made.
- Guests join conversations by invitation at no cost. Payment and refund requests for the paid service are made by the member account that paid.
4. Withdrawal and refund rules
- You may request a refund at any time while the Plus subscription period is still running.
- If you request a refund within 24 hours of payment approval and have not made substantive use of the Plus features, the Company refunds the full amount paid.
- If more than 24 hours have passed since payment approval, or you have used the Plus features, the refund is prorated over the days remaining in the 30-day subscription period.
- The prorated refund is calculated as "amount paid × remaining days ÷ 30". Remaining days are counted from the day after the refund request through the end of the subscription period. If the period has already expired and no days remain, no refund arises.
- For a one-year product (annual one-time payment), the period already used is calculated on a daily basis at the non-discounted rate (monthly recurring price × 12 months), deducted from the amount paid, and the remainder is refunded. The denominator for this daily calculation is 365 days.
- If you switch to the Business plan, the Company cancels your existing Plus subscription without a separate request and automatically refunds the amount calculated under this Article.
- Refunds may be restricted under applicable law in the following cases:
- The subscription period has already ended and no days remain.
- Service use was restricted for reasons attributable to you, such as a breach of the Terms of Service, fraudulent use, or unauthorized use of someone else's payment method.
- If all or key parts of the paid service were unavailable for a significant time for reasons attributable to the Company, the Company provides reasonable remedies — extending the subscription period, a partial refund, or a full refund — taking into account how long the outage lasted, how widely it applied, and whether you could actually use the service.
5. How to request a refund
- To request a refund, email support@olla.talk with the email address of the paying account, the payment date, the amount paid, and the reason for the refund.
- Where Article 4 provides for an automatic refund, no separate request is needed.
- After receiving your request, the Company reviews your payment and service-usage records and tells you whether a refund is available and how much it will be.
- Once a refund is approved, the Company normally refunds to the same payment method used, within three business days. The exact date the money arrives or the authorization is voided may vary with the payment method or the payment provider's processing schedule.
- If a refund to the same payment method is not possible, the Company may request the information it needs from you and process the refund in line with applicable law and the payment provider's rules.
6. Overpayments
- If an overpayment occurs during payment, the Company refunds it in full using the same method as the payment.
- If the overpayment is attributable to the Company, the Company refunds the full amount regardless of fees or other costs.
- If the overpayment is attributable to you and actual costs arise in making the refund, the Company may deduct those costs or pass them on to you, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Changes to this Policy
- The Company may change this Policy in response to changes in applicable law, payment methods, or the composition of the service.
- When this Policy changes, the Company announces the effective date and the main changes in advance, in the service or in a notice.
